About the Author: Marie Voigt finished college with a degree in Marketing and a degree in Media Technology and Design. She went on to pursue a career in television and graphic design. Later, she discovered her passion for Children’s literature and debuted with Red and the City. Marie also has plans to release The Light in the Night this coming year.

Red lives outside of the city with her mother and their dog woody, but today, Red must travel to her grandmother’s house. While that may sound easy enough, it’s no easy task for Red. Red must travel through the city and try not to get lost along the way. Marie Voigt debuts with this imaginative new take on a classic tale. Red and the City is filled with fun illustrations and heart that will certainly entertain young readers.
