“The two strangest and possibly ugliest-looking best friends laughed and ate as they walked past the barking dogs, all the way back to Longaniza Court.”

Pablo is a well-mannered mouse who loves to go on adventures with his friend, Ugly Cat. Today Pablo and Ugly Cat figure they should go to the park as Ugly Cat always has fun at the park. But it isn’t long until these friends find themselves in trouble.

Ugly Cat & Pablo is a fantastic chapter book with illustrations for young readers. Quintero has filled the story with humor, action and heart. I found myself laughing out loud to the dramatic antics of Ugly Cat and smiling at Pablo walking his best friend down the street. Quintero created a series that will give young readers friendship and adventure.
