“I love you always, even if you forget me.”

Yang Mina, one of many descendants of a Japanese dragon god, was born with the ability to travel through time and has never been able to forget it for even a second. She has dedicated her entire life to training to take up her role within the Descendants, a secret organization meant to protect the world’s timeline. So, it’s not surprising when her family moves to Seoul for a new slate of missions and she’s handed a list of extremely delicate and demanding tasks. However, added to Mina’s already full plate upon arrival is a corruption scheme, a mysterious note from a sister she just realized has been erased from existence, and a dire need for a calculus tutor. Oh—and a rogue descendant who insists he needs her help to stop the end of the world. As she gets pulled in a dozen different directions, Mina must decide where her priorities lie and what lengths she’s willing to go to discover the truth.

For all of its timeline-related absurdities, I’ll Find You Where the Timeline Ends was a deeply moving story that made me laugh and tear up at the same time. To my surprise, it had less to do with dragons and more to do with love in all of its different shapes and forms, but I was not disappointed. Mina’s relationships with her awkward, unconventional parents, her prickly (but caring) mentor, and Yejun, the annoying(ly charming) rogue descendant who petitions Mina for help, were messy and heartfelt in all the right ways, and I came to care for all of them over the course of the story. Even Mina’s connection with her absent sister felt genuine and warm, which I think is a testament to Baker’s skill at creating incredible emotional effects. Baker’s abilities also extend to her humor, and fans of her other YA novels will be happy to know that it has not changed—it just involves much more cheesecake and candy corn this time around, which is rather fitting. This story is sweet enough to give you a toothache, perfect for readers looking for a lighter fantasy that still has some weight to it.

I’ll Find You Where the Timeline Ends releases on November 18th, 2025.
